Munchkin

Well, that didn’t take long…
We often find ourselves posting again and again about dogs who are older, less flashy, or simply overlooked—those who wait a little longer for their happily ever after. But Munchkin was the exception. Despite being a Miniature Schnauzer puppy, she didn’t receive the flood of applications we’ve seen in the past for her breed. Still, as we always say: it only takes one.
Before her adoption was finalized, Munchkin had a lovely meet & greet with the Sutherlin family—one filled with gentle snuggles, curious sniffing, and instant connection. It was clear from the start that they were her people. And thanks to DRR, all of Munchkin’s medical needs were fully addressed before she headed home, ensuring she was healthy, protected, and ready for her new beginning.
Now renamed Mae, in honor of Tracy Sutherlin’s beloved grandmother Anna Mae—and adopted from Anna, TX—this little girl has left behind the shadows of the puppy mills in Fairview. She’s stepping into a life filled with love, safety, and the promise of a long, joyful journey ahead.
