We were pretty darn happy to send Orchid off to her new life. We did it on a trial to make sure she was going to be a good fit and we got word back today that they are in love and she will be staying forever.

Her new family is the Nielson family from Celina Texas. Orchid has her own stay at home mom, two kids ages 2 and 4 and a Lab mix named Moose who is a senior.

They told us that they are in love, her new name is Maya and she fits in perfectly with the kids and Moose is starting to play with her.

About Orchid:

Orchid was a stray found found running the streets in Houston. We are still working on who she is, unfortunately she is Heartworm positive so she will need treatment for that.

Orchid is a very sweet and affectionate girl, she is always seeking human attention.

She is a very good girl, she is housebroken, she is smart, she is completely mainstreamed at the ranch, and she would just be a great dog for someone willing to give her a chance…
