This is one of those stories.

You may remember Frances, who was adopted by the Weaver family in June 2026 at Braum’s in Ardmore. Frances is now Gracie, and she has spent the past year living her best life in Texas with the resident Chihuahua, Pagosa!

Take a look back at that happy adoption last year… because that’s where this story began.

And now, the miracle continues…

A couple of weeks ago, Trish received a call asking if she happened to have another Dog Ranch Rescue foster available. The Weavers love Gracie so much that they were hoping to add another pup to their family.

Well… yes, she did!

Enter Parker!

Parker came to Dr. Roach from a Texas shelter during a very busy intake period and spent his first four weeks at 405 Vet Clinic. But Parker was an absolute dream foster — he required very little care, fit right into Trish’s home, and was simply a joy to have around.

Because the Weavers were already former adopters, the adoption process was seamless, thanks in large part to our wonderful Terrie Setzer Barnes. And then, on Thursday, August 27, Trish made the trip to Ardmore with Parker in tow to meet Lisa and Santiago Weaver…

So if the background looks familiar, now you know why!

The meet-and-greet went beautifully. Pagosa, of course, was less than thrilled about having yet another pesky Frenchie invade her home — but Parker and Gracie apparently had other plans.

These two are now inseparable, as evidenced by the daily morning photos and updates Lisa sends.

My heart is so full.

I am forever amazed by Dog Ranch Rescue and the incredible miracles they make happen every single day. And I’m beyond grateful that I got to play even the smallest part in this one.

From shelter dog… to foster… to forever family… and back to the very same Braum’s where it all began.

Sometimes rescue really is nothing short of a miracle.
