Latest Update:

You’ve heard it before – your eyes meet a dog’s, and it’s instant attraction! Katherine Craft, a veterinarian at 405 vet with Dr. Roach, fell for Pecan the moment she laid eyes on her. Dr. Roach had seen Pecan for ears and boosters, but when Trish dropped her off for spay nares surgery, but when Dr. Craft saw her, she immediately knew she had to make Pecan hers. She told Trish she wanted to adopt Pecan, and her Brian was on board and kids were over the moon. One quick adoption form, a few phone calls, and Pecan was officially part of the family! The kiddos, aged 1-3-5, and Pecan became fast friends, bonding over playtime, snuggles, and snoozes. Trish saw Pecan the next day and she looked at her mom with adoring eyes – it was love at first sight! We’re sure Pecan will be visiting the clinic often!

About Pecan:
7/3/25 PUPDATE:
Good morning from these two girls, Pecan the Frenchie is off to see Dr. Reno her ears are so full of blood with hematomas that they are actual balloons, it’s just terrible. Walnut has swelling so bad in her front legs from wounds that they can’t even get a blood sample from a vein.
Good grief, just good grief….

We don’t have room, I voted no, I was out voted, that’s how it goes sometimes.

The plight continues with too many dogs in need, I thank you for all who have donated since my post yesterday, we filmed a podcast discussing all of this today that will air on Sunday. We are looking at various ways to raise more funds and I think we have a few ideas. We will fight for the rescue to continue even though times are hard, several rescues have closed their doors which just makes it harder for dogs in need.
These girls are now at the sanctuary. Both of them beat up with wounds, inflammation, hematomas in their ears and we have no information about what or when they were injured.
Both girls are very sweet, one is a Frenchie the other looks like some kind of Bulldog Pittie mix.
Welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue
Pecan and Walnut, We are all a little nutty in this place.
