I’m not going to lie, 10 years ago I would never have thought that what we see today with French Bulldogs would be the reality. 10 years ago they were coveted, expensive, cherished.
No more, their popularity has led to this, discarded, mistreated, dumped, and yes even physically abused and tortured by a sick, sick human, may you rest in peace Valor.
It’s exhausting, mentally and emotionally taxing. Day after day, it’s some new Frenchie in a shelter, on the street as a stray, or an owner surrender.
This girl is 8 years old, she lived in a crate, owners were not interested in her and don’t want her anymore. All I know is a person who contacted us said they offered to give the dog to her and she reached out to us to ask if we can take her.
As you can see the neglect is significant, the suffering prolonged, and the lack of any signs of caring about her are absent.
The popularity of the French Bulldog has now come full circle, which happens to literally every breed that becomes the “most popular” and it looks like this.
If you would like to donate to her care, that would be lovely, she is a mess and it will take months to help her, thankfully she isn’t sick with heart worms, I don’t know how, but she isn’t spayed at 8 years old it will be a long time before her skin is healthy enough to cut into to take care of that.
