We had a lot of applications come in for Pig Newton, however Campbell Hatchard’s stood out among all the others. Campbell and his partner Michelle Angel have been talking about adopting/and looking at dogs for at least a year. Not only did Campbell fill out the application completely he also attached an additional letter and his prior veterinary records from Australia. Our Piglet had caught their eye!
Campbell and Michelle currently live in Shawnee, Kansas. Campbell works mostly from home and Michelle works 3 min from home. Michelle owns/manages a salon and has an area that Piglet will be slowly introduced to.. if Campbell can’t be home Piglet will be able to go (once acclimated) to work with Michelle. Both Campbell and Michelle have had bulldogs/frenchies in the past and are well aware of their personalities and the health issues they can have.
Couldn’t help but laugh at this side note on the application… “We understand the attitudes (funny and gorgeous even when they look at you saying I see your lips moving but I hear nothing).
They will be keeping the name Pig Newton aka Piglet.. it fits her.
Our Piglet will be well loved, adored and cared for as part of the family. She’ll have a nice yard, daily walks and all the attention she loves!

Pig Newton … not gonna lie this girl is a sweetheart.. I do believe she’s more English Bulldog then French Bulldog. Definitely, a brick when she doesn’t want to move and shes strong! First 3 days down and she stays right by me.. I move she moves making it a little hard to get pictures.
Pig met my crew across the deck and although Pill Bug was barking like crazy she gave them a quick look, little interest and back to me. Now, when the guy was mowing the yard that interested her a lot!
The swelling from the vaginal prolapse surgery is gradually going down and I do believe, as it goes down her tail is getting longer
. It’s pretty cute when she wiggles it. She also has the cutest wiggle butt when she walks. Since Pig is still swollen she does leak a little but for the most part she goes outside or on her pee pads. She’s already learned the way to her area off the deck and you’d better hold on to that leash when she needs to go!

It never ends you guys, it just never seems to end, another girl picked up as a stray with her vagina prolapsed and needing help. Shelter told us she had to be picked up this morning or she would be euthanized, with Ricky out of town rescuing another dog in Missouri Terrie Barnes came to her rescue early this morning to pick her up and drive her to Dr. Renos office. She will need this reduced and put back inside and get her spayed to stop the hormones and allow her body to recover. She has been delivered to them and treatment will begin right away.
She looked like a little piglet to me, so I say welcome to Dog Ranch Rescue Pig Newton.
