Latest Update:

Pixie Bob had a meet and greet last Sunday, but it wasn’t quite the love connection we hoped for. That’s okay—sometimes it takes a few tries to find the right fit. For our approved adopters, we love to offer meet and greets when possible. They’re a wonderful way to see how a dog meshes with your family and your resident pups before they’re fully vetted and ready for adoption.
If you’ve browsed the available dogs on dogranchrescue.com, you might notice many are listed as “available soon” then move to “pending” because we often move dogs directly from “available soon” to “pending” after a successful meet and greet—skipping the “available now” stage entirely. It’s part of our effort to match dogs thoughtfully and avoid unnecessary transitions.
Our experienced Sanctuary staff play a key role in this process. They observe how your dog(s) interact with our rescues and how you connect with them. Are you excited? Nervous? A little unsure? They’re great at spotting those magical moments when it’s truly a love match.
Since Pixie Bob didn’t quite click with her first visitor, we revisited the application from Tony and Amy Dunham of Griffin, GA. They’re seasoned rescue parents with two French Bulldogs, one of whom was once shy and slow to warm up—just like Pixie. We had a feeling this could be the right fit.
When Amy flew in to meet her, Pixie—now simply Pixie—gathered all her courage and belly-crawled right into Amy’s arms. It was a brave, beautiful moment, and Amy instantly knew: this was her girl. Pixie was lovingly packed up and whisked away to Georgia, where she’ll join a family that understands her gentle heart and celebrates her quiet bravery.
We hope to share a Happy Tails update soon for this sweet little soul. Until then, we’re smiling knowing Pixie found her happily ever after.

About Pixie Bob:

9/19/25 Pupdate:

Pixie Bob is a playful but cautious Frenchie who’s a bit hand shy. She will need patience as she is still learning to trust gentle touch. She’s much more at ease with other dogs. Showing her personality by doing silly spins to invite them to play, even showing her sassy side on occasion. She is happily entertained by toys when it’s time to relax. Pixie Bob eats at her own pace and is comfortable in her den. She would thrive in a home with other furry friends to keep her company and help her feel more secure.

Blu/Tan imported bloodlines, that is the bragging point about her, doesnt matter none of the colors they create for Frenchies work anymore, the market is oversaturated, so they toss them up for auction.
