Latest Update:

Remington (Remi) wasn’t here long before this lovely couple reached out to us. (A little over a day to be exact.)
Having no other choice, his surrender was a last resort for his original owner. Who was going through a divorce & in nursing school full time. Making it hard to juggle too many things at once. The neighbors even threatening to shoot him when he would escape from the yard, threw her at the deep end. Forcing her to make the difficult decision of surrendering. We would like to thank you for reaching out to us & wanting to give this boy what he deserves. As difficult as it was for you, it was the right decision for Remi!
Remi was with us only a week. Just enough time for a health check & to evaluate him with the others while his new family, the Neilson’s, waited on the okay to come get him. Stephen & Sarah Neilson had recently lost their Bulldog last year. Although, they do have a cat they really missed the canine companionship. Remi will receive all the affection & attention he desires now with Sarah working from home & Stephen being retired. Maybe even get to smuggle a cuddle with their cat every now & then. When the Neilson’s met him it was already a battle to see who Remi’s favorite would be, mom or dad?! 😂 I truly think whoever gives the best booty scratches that day will be his MVP! But we’ll leave that debate up to his parents.
They are keeping handsome boys name as is. 💙 Remi will always be in his original mom’s heart. Hoping this brings her some peace knowing he is in loving & caring hands! Thank you Sarah & Stephen for traveling from Tennessee to share your home with this sweet boy.⁩

About Remi:
It is raining bears today, so let me introduce them. This is a 5 year old owner surrender, and before anyone gets mad about that I will ask you to be kind. She is recently divorced and a full time nursing student trying to do the best she can, she is hardly ever home and has had this boy since he was a puppy and loves him very much. He keeps getting out and the neighbors are threatening to shoot him and she knew she had to try and find something better for him. We couldn’t take him until after the holidays and today she had to say goodbye to him with many, many tears.
He has coexisted with many dogs and even a cat, good with all people and kids. Hopefully we can place him quickly and get him back into a new home of his own.
