Roadie

First of all his vetting is complete, Roadie is a big boy, very top heavy with all of his weight in front from his head and shoulders. He came with a very severe case of tartar on his teeth so we are guessing him to be 5+

Roadie has weak back legs and cannot jump up on your legs but he likes a good hug. He was examined by our orthopedic surgeon and he said this is how he was born, he has a congenital issue that affects his gait and back end, his knee is crunchy but not worth a surgery, so he just needs to stay on joint supplements and keep an eye on if he becomes painful. His back legs are a little floppy but he still runs and plays pretty much normally.

I asked the staff to fill us in on Roadie and I will share those words from various employees.

Roadie is bullheaded, smart and wants to be a fun police and that gets him in trouble, and corrections come his way, he can be corrected but you need to emphasize to him that won’t be tolerated. He is mainstreamed with all dogs and doing fine. They all say the same thing, that Roadie is very sweet and really smart, makes a lot of eye contact. He sometimes has a macho issue that causes him to make bad choices

We are now actively looking for his home, we know all of that above is a lot but we don’t pull punches and try to not reveal the reality of who are rescues are.
