Santos

Corgis no more — every last one has now left the Sanctuary. Samira was the first to head home, and today it was Santos’ turn. Brandon and Sarah Baker visited the Sanctuary so their Corgi, Lucy, could meet her, and everything went beautifully. Santos was still her shy little self, but she bravely stepped forward to greet everyone and even accepted a few gentle pets during the visit. Lucy will now be in charge of showing her the ropes — from potty training to learning how to soak up all the love from her new family.

Santos, now Luna, will be settling into her new home in Argyle, Texas. Her new name couldn’t be more fitting for a little girl with those big, light‑blue, moonlit eyes.

You weren’t with us long, sweet Luna, but you were loved by everyone who met you. Have a wonderful life, little one — your future is bright.
