They did everything they could but this gorgeous little one year old baby just couldn’t overcome what was happening to her. She just started going south so fast, sick with pneumonia and pancreatitis but then her platelets began to drop rapidly. She was started with plasma but the outlook was poor. It appears that in addition to everything else she had some kind of immune mediated issue with her platelets. In the middle of the night she was struggling to hang on and we just wouldn’t let her suffer any longer and we asked them to please help this baby girl across the bridge.

It’s just so hard, so sad and so painful…
