Latest Update:

When she first arrived at the rescue, she was picked up by Ricky Barnes — and the moment he laid eyes on her, he knew she was something special. He called her “Sweet Mama,” and it stuck. Turns out, the Breaux family saw the same sweetness in her.
Like many of our rescue dogs lately, Sweet Mama didn’t receive a flood of applications. But as we always say, it only takes one — the right one. And the Breaux family was it.
They kept the adoption a surprise from their daughter, Josephine, until just two days ago. As you can imagine, she was thrilled! The whole crew — Dad (Pedro), Mom (Bethany), Josephine, and their two adorable Frenchies, Jack and Greta — made the drive all the way from Abilene to meet their newest family member. (No, they didn’t pack the cat, but don’t worry — Sweet Mama met Vlad and did great with him too!)
The family even sent us a message while they were driving home that put all our hearts at ease: “Thank you guys again so much, she is so perfect!” It’s always such a joy to see our rescues land exactly where they belong — and this match couldn’t be more perfect.
And now… she has a new name: Betty.
Betty, we hope your days ahead are full of belly rubs, long naps, and the love you always deserved. No more breeding pens — just being a happy, cherished dog.
We love you, Betty. Have the best life.

This one was dumped like trash after having her babies, nobody could find any babies anywhere so you know the same old story, keep the valuable ones to sell and toss this mama out on the street with her breasts full of milk.
How we doing folks? I don’t know about you but it’s pretty exhausting.
Ricky is driving her in from the shelter to the sanctuary now.
We are just going to call her Sweet Mama, simple, sweet, and to the point.
She has arrived, will be scrubbed clean fixed up with a very cozy den of her own in isolation and we will wait and hope she doesnt get sick from something in the shelter.
