Sex: Female
Breed: French Bulldog
Weight: 11lbs
Current Location: Van Alstyne, TX
Adoption Date: March 2, 2025
Adopted by: Casey Gabriel
Latest Update:

Tangy has the cutest little face and the friendliest, most cuddly personality. She was a favorite of her foster mom, Terrie, but Terrie was starting to worry because there hadn’t been many applications that would suit Terrie’s and Tangy’s needs. Then, the Gabriel family submitted their application. They were previous adopters of Ciabatta (now Tessa) and considered themselves the luckiest family to have Tessa. Casey works from home, and the family was looking for a new dog to fit into their lives. They all, including Tessa, went to the Barnes home to meet Tangy, and it was love at first sight. Everyone got a chance to hold and cuddle her, and there was no doubt she was meant to go home with them.
After her first night with the family, we received the sweetest update. The family decided to name her Birdie, and she quickly grew fond of a little birdie stuffie they had for her. Tessa has taken on the role of Birdie’s protector, trying to herd her to keep her safe, which is just adorable. The family also had what they called a “Gabriel slumber party,” where they all set up mattresses on the floor around Birdie, and she peacefully slept in the middle of them. That must have ended any arguments on who gets to sleep with Birdie! LOL!
Dog Ranch Rescue couldn’t have found a better match for Birdie, and we’re so thankful they applied. There’s no doubt that Birdie is going to have the best life with them!

About Tangy:

2/9

Tangy is an affectionate little girl who loves to play with her foster mates, Spicy Mandarin and Ranch. She’s the perfect mix of playful and cuddly—always ready for a game with her toys but just as happy to snuggle up and give sweet little kisses. Because she can be protective of her food, she’s fed separately, likely a habit from being the runt of the litter. Despite her small size, she’s full of personality and sleeps soundly through the night. She’s still small enough to fly but won’t stay tiny for long. Tangy will be ready for her forever home very soon!

Catalog note: “Color:Isabella- Ava is the runt of the litter, she’s scrappy and can hold her own. No tan on her. Super cute!”

Terrie’s note: “247 made me cry. She was in the kennel by herself and came up to let me love on her through the cage door. She seemed so little and so brave!”

#247 is Tangy now
