Latest Update:

John and Cindy Farrell are longtime members of our rescue family — and true lovers of both big dogs and little dogs. Cindy is a retired poodle groomer and devoted poodle enthusiast, which made their adoption of Stanley Hudson, the standard poodle, especially meaningful. Stanley still has a few quirks, but he’s a wonderful dog, and they absolutely cherish him.

So when their application came in for the miniature poodle Trammps, we were pleasantly surprised. Because we try to move adoptions along quickly and the Farrells were making the long drive from Wyoming, the timing was tricky. We reviewed another application while keeping John and Cindy updated throughout the process. In the end, the other applicants backed out at the last minute — and fortunately, Cindy hadn’t changed her plans. She made the trip with Stanley, and the two dogs are already getting along beautifully. They’re spending the night with friends before the long drive home.

Trammps’ new name will be Tucks, and we can’t wait to see him alongside his two big protectors, Stanley and Darcy, their other standard poodle. It’s a very good day for Dog Ranch Rescue — and an even better one for Tucks.

About Trammps:

What a gorgeous dog he is, born on 5/9/26 falling into that aged out pup category. It says he carries the chocolate and tan markings, (we don’t care) says his parents were 13 to 16 pounds so he is a miniature poodle. He is going to grow into a beauty.
