When Trixie’s application came in, we didn’t hesitate. She’s the cutest, sweetest girl, though many overlooked her charming little underbite and that perfectly kissable bottom lip. Kenneth and JoAn Steelman of Wylie, TX, noticed right away.

The Steelmans live just across the pasture from their son and daughter‑in‑law (a proud DRR “fan girl”), who are already considered Trixie’s “God Parents” and have an English Bulldog of their own. Kenneth and JoAn haven’t had a dog in some time, so Trixie is the perfect “starter” pup—calm, loving, and a wonderful match for her new adoptive parents.

We’ve already heard that friends are lining up around the block, eager to volunteer for babysitting duties. JoAn shared that Trixie—whose name will stay the same—is her Birthday and Christmas present all wrapped up in one soft, furry package. And with Thanksgiving just behind us, it feels like the perfect season of gratitude to welcome such a sweet new family member.

So here’s to many years of Happy Birthdays, Merry Christmases, and Thanksgivings filled with love and joy alongside Trixie, who is sure to be cherished beyond measure.

So yesterday we got word that 5 French Bulldogs needed to be rescued. The breeder had been shut down and needed them gone now. It’s always gotta be pretty bad for a breeder to be shut down, because so much bullcrap is tolerated by their living conditions. Anyway we said yes, and late afternoon they arrived. I will share them with you one at a time, with the limited information that I have.

What the “breeder” said was only one of them was worthy of breeding the others are too ugly to try and make puppies and sell them.
