Latest Update:
Look at little man Turkey finally healthy and on his way to live with his new family. He had his final check up with Dr. Case at Center for Veterinary Specialties and his blood work looks completely normal.
He is going to live with the Vega family in Oklahoma City. He also won the puppy jackpot because his new mama is a veterinarian and who could be more qualified to adopt a special needs Frenchie than a vet? Turkey will enjoy growing up with three children and have excellent medical care too.
I spoke to Dr. Case on the phone and told her he was being adopted by a vet that lives in Oklahoma City and she asked what her name was I told her it was Dr. Krista Vega and she laughed and said she was my classmate.
When Turkey was so ill we had to spend $700 on a very hard to find drug called Neupogen that did turn out to save his life. The only way we could get it was to buy 6 doses so thankfully we have that drug in hand because he only needed one dose to turn him around but we sent if off with his mom so if he happens to crash again she will already have it in place.
We are so happy for this family. Turkey was ecstatic, the kids were ecstatic and we are ecstatic that this has all turned out so well.
Happy life, little man
This big little man was rescued at a November mill auction and once at the Ranch, Travis gave him a bath and had this to say about him:
“Guard your hearts, I got him in the tub and of course he turned into a feral cat. After some brief reassurance and the realization he was gonna get a warm sudsy back scratching, he immediately began melting and politely presented each paw for me to scrub off all the caked on poo.
Once all the grime came off, he revealed a shiny fluffy coat that’s soft as velvet. Good boy❤️”
This little plump butterball pup is steadily losing weight at foster mom Cassandra’s house. He’s just a baby boy who came from the mill auction already neutered, we don’t know why but it just makes it that much easier for us to place him. He’s about 6 months old and he’s a dynamo little boy who thinks life is grand.
Welcome, you precious little Turkey!
