Sharon Roark reached out to us about Twilight after a friend introduced her to our Facebook page. Sharon and her husband Ross, from Andrews, TX, have been devoted Corgi lovers for many years—and anyone who knows them can tell you just how deep that love runs. After losing their last two Corgis, Sharon had been considering bringing a puppy into their lives. But when she saw Twilight, everything changed. She submitted a heartfelt application that we were thrilled to receive.

There was a bit of a wait, as Twilight had recently gone into heat and her spay had to be rescheduled. But today was the big day! Her adoption appointment was set for 11:00 a.m.—though we let the staff know Sharon might arrive early because, honestly, she could hardly wait…and sure enough, she did!

Twilight, now happily renamed Lanie Grace, seemed to share in the excitement. Just take a look at the adoption photos—she could barely sit still! Lanie Grace was clearly ready to start her next chapter and wasn’t about to waste any time striking a pose when her forever home was waiting.
