It was time for our sweet Willa Alise to go to her forever home. Kristina Saunders flew from South Lake Tahoe, CA to adopt Willa who is a favorite of the volunteers. Willa took to Kris immediately and was relaxing in her lap by the end of the adoption. Kris previously adopted our little Ann Marie and our Frenchie JJ. Kris works from home and is very excited to bring Willa home with her. We don’t know if she will keep her name but Kris is already on the Happy Tails page so we can all watch as Willa grows and thrives in her new home. Safe travels and happy life, sweet girl!

About Willa:

The catalog said nothing about her being bred, but sometimes that’s what they do. Then when she’s on the table they announce that she is showing a belly. Our bidder said she does have a little belly, but is that because she likes to eat or does she have Boston pups in there? We don’t know but we will find out.

We will name her Willa Alise Marinov, a nurse at the VA nursing home. She has been working throughout the pandemic taking the best of care of vulnerable military veterans. She wears elaborate gear, works long hours, and manages to find the time and the heart to spend time with each patient. And she never complains. In fact, she says she loves her job.
