Latest Update:
As we have witnessed time and time again, some of these mill rescues take longer than others to find the perfect home for them. That was the case with Wrigley but finally everything lined up for her and she left my house in OKC to live with Tracey and Sean Curry in Sinton,TX south of Corpus Christi.
This girl tugged at my heartstrings because I nursed her through a mammary chain removal requiring 75 staples and then another mast cell surgery. Her recuperation was on a fleece blanket on my bed every night and because of her age, personality quirks and health concerns it was doubtful she would get the forever home she deserved….
BUT along came the Currys and they can offer her love, space so neighbors don’t hear her shrill barking, someone home all day, patience and love. Wrigley liked my cats and other dogs so the new kitten in the house and other dogs should not be an issue.
No road trip in TX is complete without a stop at Buckees and that they did!!! The Currys scolded me for not warning them of the silent, pungent gas that slips from her body! Guess it is more noticeable in a car on a road trip!
She is still fearful at times but she has come so far!!
Her new name will be MOLLY. I look forward to seeing her on Happy Tails. Love you sweet girl…remember me!!
About Wrigley:
This girl has the possibility of being pregnant and her belly and nipples look like that might actually be possible. She is a seal and white Boston Terrier. Born on 2/15/13 so she just had her 8th birthday, far to old to be bred again, but they never care about that.
She is on her way to the sanctuary where we will quickly find out if she is bred or not.

UPDATE 5/6/2021

It has taken a very long time to finish all of Wrigley’s vetting. She is an older gal and having lived in a mill her whole life her body suffered a great deal. She is an 8 year old Boston Terrier and Trish has filled us in about her and the kind of home we are looking for.

She needs attention and would be best with someone who is retired or works from home. Barks incessantly when left in the backyard by herself or in crate so that needs to be considered for your home and your neighbors and if you are able to handle that. She sleeps with Trish in her bed every night with a cat so cats are a yes. She lifts her on the bed as she hasn’t mastered the stairs to the bed and she isn’t a jumper. She is still afraid when a hand comes at her but likes being petted if on same level, this is a very common problem for dogs from the mill who are not used to human hands offering affection. Children might scare her but that would depend on the kids. She might do best with patient adults that are home a lot. We always want to make it very clear to people looking to adopt the details about each dog to make sure its a good fit.

UPDATE 4/13/2021

I need to highlight this girl Wrigley because basically she has become invisible with nobody paying any attention to considering her as a new family member. She is an 8 year old Boston Terrier who has lived her whole life in the mill producing puppies for the public.
Her health has suffered tremendously from her work as a puppy making commodity and without being rescued all of them would have gone unnoticed with little to no care for her personal health, you see none of it affects her puppy making capabilities.

We moved Wrigley up to stay with foster mom Trish to continue her medical care and Dr. McHandsome aka Dr. Roach who has been tackling her many surgeries. She had a her mass removed from her leg and she is recovering from a mastectomy removing the masses in her breasts. We don’t have biopsy results yet on her masses and I will update when I know more. We know she falls into the category of little to no interest due to her age and her medical conditions but we just want to let you all understand that she is a sweet girl who sleeps with Trish at night and someone will be lucky to have her when she’s ready.

UPDATE 3/13/2021

A little update on Wrigley, first of all she is 8 years old, she was sold as potentially pregnant but we found nothing and she will be scheduled for spay asap. She has clearly had no care in the mill and now we will do everything we can to tackle all that ails her.
