Breed: French Bulldog
Weight:
Current Location: Electra, TX
Adoption Date: May 15, 2026
Adopted by: Anne & Rick Hollis
Latest Update:

Anne and Rick Hollis drove down from Electra, Texas to adopt Yvette. Their last dog was 10 years ago, and as Anne explained, when they lost her she just didn’t think she could adopt again. We know that feeling… and then one day the house starts to feel a little too empty. That’s exactly how Anne felt.
They had been following our FB page and when they saw Yvette, they felt she would be the perfect fit. These two retirees have a large backyard for her to explore, and she’ll have all the bones, toys, belly rubs, and attention she could ever want. Her new name will be Evie. 💕
(Yvette loved her bed so I just sent it along with her … soon as we put it down she climbed in it for her adoption photo🤣)

I got an update from Anne last night…
“Thank you so much!! Right now she is asleep next to me in my chair. I had forgotten how much I missed having a dog next to me snoring 🥰”
Happy life, Evie. We’re looking forward to seeing you on the Happy Tails page.
About Yvette:
5/7/26 Pupdate:

Yvette update…

Yvette has officially met the crew and gets along well with everyone. She absolutely loves to play and keeps herself right in the middle of whatever fun is happening.

Now… when it comes to bones, this girl can get a little overly enthusiastic. She seems to think every bone belongs to her and sharing is highly overrated. We’re working on those manners, but honestly it’s pretty clear she just enjoys life to the fullest.

Although her shelter paperwork listed her as a stray, it’s obvious Yvette was loved by someone at some point. She has basic manners, sits when asked, waits patiently for treats, and is fully potty trained.

One of her favorite things in the world is belly rubs. She’ll gently place her little paw on your arm when you stop, just to politely request that you continue. It’s impossible not to smile when she does it.

Yvette goes in for her dental on Tuesday, and once that’s completed she’ll have all of her vetting done and be ready to find a home of her own.

They may call her a senior, but Yvette clearly didn’t get the memo. She still has plenty of life, love, energy, and just enough mischief left to make someone an absolutely wonderful companion.

Millie is squeezing in some room for this girl as well. Ricky is on his way, I think she is a senior, dropped off with a big hot spot that they just wrapped it up instead of treating it. She has been spayed but we are told she had a huge hernia that they repaired in the shelter as well.
I am unsure if she is an owner surrender or what has happened here but she’s with us now.
