Jacob’s Pardon draws its name and inspiration from the story of the brand founders’ great-grandfather, Jacob Taub, whose involvement in the whiskey business during Prohibition ultimately led to a presidential pardon. Today, the brand celebrates that family whiskey legacy through distinctive small-batch American whiskeys selected and blended to create expressions that are anything but ordinary.
This raffle brings together three very different Jacob’s Pardon releases, ranging from a beautifully balanced 8-year-old blend to an extraordinary 142.7-proof, 18-year-old light whiskey.
🥃 Recipe #1 — 8-Year-Old Blend • 97.1 Proof
A beautifully balanced marriage of 8-year-old MGP light whiskey and Tennessee whiskey from George Dickel. At 48.6% ABV, it delivers plenty of character while remaining wonderfully approachable.
Look for inviting notes of buttery sweet corn, vanilla, peach, snickerdoodle cookie, honey and nutmeg, all wrapped in a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
🥃 Recipe #2 — Rye-Forward Tennessee Whiskey • 109.3 Proof
Recipe #2 turns up the intensity with a bold, rye-forward Tennessee whiskey finished in sherry casks.
At 54.65% ABV, the sherry finish adds richness and complexity, bringing forward flavors of dried fruit, caramel and warm spice, followed by a smooth, rounded finish.
🥃 Recipe #3 — 18-Year-Old High-Corn Light Whiskey • 142.7 Proof
And then there is the powerhouse of the trio.
Recipe #3 is an impressive 18-year-old American light whiskey, made from 99% corn and 1% malted barley and bottled at a formidable 142.7 proof (71.25% ABV).
Its long aging brings layers of caramel corn, toasted marshmallow, black cherry, baking spices and pipe tobacco, leading into a long, creamy finish. This is a fascinating bottle for the serious whiskey enthusiast and makes this trio particularly special.
And Then There’s Haggis 🐾
That unforgettable little face belongs to Haggis, one of the special dogs of Dog Ranch Rescue. With his wild hair, spectacular little underbite and more personality than should reasonably fit into one small dog, Haggis is the perfect ambassador for this wonderfully unconventional whiskey collection.
